Set in the heart of the woodland village of Hermitage, just a few miles from J13 of the M4 and from Newbury Town centre, The Fox is a traditional country pub. The building dates back more than 300 years, converted from artisan cottages over 100 years ago. Although the building has been extended, it retains many of its original features, creating a warm, rustic environment, with timbered beams and wood burning stove.

The Fox has a reputation for good food and drink served in a relaxing, friendly environment. Our menu includes a range of reasonably priced home-made meals and snacks, using fresh produce from local suppliers.

Listed in The Good Beer Guides 2007, 2008 and 2009, you can choose from 4 -5 well kept real ales, as well as a fine selection of wines and beers. We also offer a large choice of soft drinks
